JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a dedicated manager for the shelter operations in Kiruna municipality. The shelter has 8 beds and is for those who are experiencing acute homelessness.

The manager is responsible for the daily operations of the facility, support for the residents, and ensuring that practical needs such as accommodation and social support are met. The role requires commitment to support people out of homelessness and handle complex situations related to, among other things, addiction and mental health issues. Our goal is to provide emergency assistance to people with the long-term aim that everyone should receive help to have their own accommodation.

The working hours are during weekdays in the daytime. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with people in often vulnerable life situations who need help and support.

QUALIFICATIONS

Suitable education for the position is a social pedagogue or other post-secondary education in social work deemed appropriate by the employer. Experience in similar work is an advantage.

A holistic view and the ability to make parts work together are important qualities, as well as commitment and a willingness to develop.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
